بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمـٰنِ الرَّحيمِ إِنّا أَنزَلناهُ في لَيلَةِ القَدرِ

We revealed it on the Night of Destiny.

وَما أَدراكَ ما لَيلَةُ القَدرِ

And what can make you know what’s the Night of Destiny?

لَيلَةُ القَدرِ خَيرٌ مِن أَلفِ شَهرٍ

The Night of Destiny is better than a thousand months.

تَنَزَّلُ المَلائِكَةُ وَالرّوحُ فيها بِإِذنِ رَبِّهِم مِن كُلِّ أَمرٍ

During this night, the angels and the Spirit descend, by their Lord’s permission, with every command.

سَلامٌ هِيَ حَتّىٰ مَطلَعِ الفَجرِ

Peace it is, until the rise of dawn.
