وَالمُحصَناتُ مِنَ النِّساءِ إِلّا ما مَلَكَت أَيمانُكُم ۖ كِتابَ اللَّهِ عَلَيكُم ۚ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُم ما وَراءَ ذٰلِكُم أَن تَبتَغوا بِأَموالِكُم مُحصِنينَ غَيرَ مُسافِحينَ ۚ فَمَا استَمتَعتُم بِهِ مِنهُنَّ فَآتوهُنَّ أُجورَهُنَّ فَريضَةً ۚ وَلا جُناحَ عَلَيكُم فيما تَراضَيتُم بِهِ مِن بَعدِ الفَريضَةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ عَليمًا حَكيمًا

And all married women, except those whom you rightfully possess. This is a decree from God upon you. Beyond these, all others are lawful, provided you seek them with your wealth in a legal marriage, not in fornication. When you wish to enjoy them, give them their bridal gifts, as an obligation. You commit no wrong by mutually agreeing to any adjustments to these gifts. God is All-Knowing, Most Wise.

وَمَن لَم يَستَطِع مِنكُم طَولًا أَن يَنكِحَ المُحصَناتِ المُؤمِناتِ فَمِن ما مَلَكَت أَيمانُكُم مِن فَتَياتِكُمُ المُؤمِناتِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعلَمُ بِإيمانِكُم ۚ بَعضُكُم مِن بَعضٍ ۚ فَانكِحوهُنَّ بِإِذنِ أَهلِهِنَّ وَآتوهُنَّ أُجورَهُنَّ بِالمَعروفِ مُحصَناتٍ غَيرَ مُسافِحاتٍ وَلا مُتَّخِذاتِ أَخدانٍ ۚ فَإِذا أُحصِنَّ فَإِن أَتَينَ بِفاحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيهِنَّ نِصفُ ما عَلَى المُحصَناتِ مِنَ العَذابِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن خَشِيَ العَنَتَ مِنكُم ۚ وَأَن تَصبِروا خَيرٌ لَكُم ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ

Those among you who can’t afford to marry free, believing women, may marry believing maids under your care. God is well aware of your faith; you are of one another. Marry them with their guardians’ permission, and give them their rightful dowries, in pursuit of virtue, not immorality or secret affairs. If they commit adultery after their marriage, their punishment is half that of free women. This is for those who fear falling into sin, but it’s better for you to be patient. God is Forgiving and Merciful.

يُريدُ اللَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُم وَيَهدِيَكُم سُنَنَ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِكُم وَيَتوبَ عَلَيكُم ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ حَكيمٌ

God wants to clarify for you, and to guide you to the ways of those who came before you, and to accept your repentance. God is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

وَاللَّهُ يُريدُ أَن يَتوبَ عَلَيكُم وَيُريدُ الَّذينَ يَتَّبِعونَ الشَّهَواتِ أَن تَميلوا مَيلًا عَظيمًا

God intends to accept your repentance, but those who follow their desires desire you to deviate in a great deviation.

يُريدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُم ۚ وَخُلِقَ الإِنسانُ ضَعيفًا

God intends to lighten your burdens, for the human being was created weak.

وَمَن يَفعَل ذٰلِكَ عُدوانًا وَظُلمًا فَسَوفَ نُصليهِ نارًا ۚ وَكانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسيرًا

Whoever commits such acts out of aggression and injustice, We will throw him in a Fire. And that’s easy for God.

إِن تَجتَنِبوا كَبائِرَ ما تُنهَونَ عَنهُ نُكَفِّر عَنكُم سَيِّئَاتِكُم وَنُدخِلكُم مُدخَلًا كَريمًا

If you avoid the major sins you’re forbidden, We will erase your misdeeds and admit you into a noble entrance.

وَلا تَتَمَنَّوا ما فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعضَكُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ ۚ لِلرِّجالِ نَصيبٌ مِمَّا اكتَسَبوا ۖ وَلِلنِّساءِ نَصيبٌ مِمَّا اكتَسَبنَ ۚ وَاسأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِن فَضلِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عَليمًا

Don’t covet what God favored some over others with. Men have a share in what they’ve earned, and women have a share in what they’ve earned. Ask God for His bounty, for God has full knowledge of everything.

وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلنا مَوالِيَ مِمّا تَرَكَ الوالِدانِ وَالأَقرَبونَ ۚ وَالَّذينَ عَقَدَت أَيمانُكُم فَآتوهُم نَصيبَهُم ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ شَهيدًا

To everyone, We’ve appointed beneficiaries in what parents and near relatives leave behind. As for those with whom you’ve pledged, give them their share. God is a witness to all things.

الرِّجالُ قَوّامونَ عَلَى النِّساءِ بِما فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بَعضَهُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ وَبِما أَنفَقوا مِن أَموالِهِم ۚ فَالصّالِحاتُ قانِتاتٌ حافِظاتٌ لِلغَيبِ بِما حَفِظَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَاللّاتي تَخافونَ نُشوزَهُنَّ فَعِظوهُنَّ وَاهجُروهُنَّ فِي المَضاجِعِ وَاضرِبوهُنَّ ۖ فَإِن أَطَعنَكُم فَلا تَبغوا عَلَيهِنَّ سَبيلًا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ عَلِيًّا كَبيرًا

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, as God has given some more than others, and because they spend from their wealth. Righteous women are obedient, guarding in absence what God would have them guard. those whose disobedience or ill-conduct you fear, advise them, separate from them in bed, and then strike them. If they obey you, seek no means against them. God is Exalted, Supreme.
