إِنّا أَنزَلنا إِلَيكَ الكِتابَ بِالحَقِّ لِتَحكُمَ بَينَ النّاسِ بِما أَراكَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلا تَكُن لِلخائِنينَ خَصيمًا

We revealed the Scripture to you in truth, so that you may judge between people according to what God has shown you. Don’t be an advocate for the treacherous.

وَاستَغفِرِ اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ غَفورًا رَحيمًا

And ask God for forgiveness, for God is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.

وَلا تُجادِل عَنِ الَّذينَ يَختانونَ أَنفُسَهُم ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُحِبُّ مَن كانَ خَوّانًا أَثيمًا

And don’t argue for those who deceive themselves. God doesn’t love the deceitful sinner.

يَستَخفونَ مِنَ النّاسِ وَلا يَستَخفونَ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُم إِذ يُبَيِّتونَ ما لا يَرضىٰ مِنَ القَولِ ۚ وَكانَ اللَّهُ بِما يَعمَلونَ مُحيطًا

They may hide from people, but they can’t hide from God. He is with them when they plan at night with words He disapproves of. God encompasses all their actions.

ها أَنتُم هـٰؤُلاءِ جادَلتُم عَنهُم فِي الحَياةِ الدُّنيا فَمَن يُجادِلُ اللَّهَ عَنهُم يَومَ القِيامَةِ أَم مَن يَكونُ عَلَيهِم وَكيلًا

Here you are, arguing on their behalf in this life, but who will argue on their behalf before God on Resurrection Day, or who will be their advocate?

وَمَن يَكسِب إِثمًا فَإِنَّما يَكسِبُهُ عَلىٰ نَفسِهِ ۚ وَكانَ اللَّهُ عَليمًا حَكيمًا

Whoever earns a wrong earns it against himself. God is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

وَمَن يَكسِب خَطيئَةً أَو إِثمًا ثُمَّ يَرمِ بِهِ بَريئًا فَقَدِ احتَمَلَ بُهتانًا وَإِثمًا مُبينًا

Whoever commits wrongdoing or a sin, and then blames an innocent person, has taken on a slander and clear sin.

وَلَولا فَضلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيكَ وَرَحمَتُهُ لَهَمَّت طائِفَةٌ مِنهُم أَن يُضِلّوكَ وَما يُضِلّونَ إِلّا أَنفُسَهُم ۖ وَما يَضُرّونَكَ مِن شَيءٍ ۚ وَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيكَ الكِتابَ وَالحِكمَةَ وَعَلَّمَكَ ما لَم تَكُن تَعلَمُ ۚ وَكانَ فَضلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيكَ عَظيمًا

If it wasn’t for God’s grace and mercy upon you, a group from among them would’ve attempted to mislead you. However, they only mislead themselves. And they won’t harm you at all. God revealed to you the Scripture and wisdom, and He taught you what you didn’t know. God’s grace upon you is immense.

لا خَيرَ في كَثيرٍ مِن نَجواهُم إِلّا مَن أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَو مَعروفٍ أَو إِصلاحٍ بَينَ النّاسِ ۚ وَمَن يَفعَل ذٰلِكَ ابتِغاءَ مَرضاتِ اللَّهِ فَسَوفَ نُؤتيهِ أَجرًا عَظيمًا

No good comes from much of their private conversations, except those who enjoin charity, kindness, or reconciliation among people. Whosoever does this seeking God’s approval, We will grant him a great reward.

وَمَن يُشاقِقِ الرَّسولَ مِن بَعدِ ما تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الهُدىٰ وَيَتَّبِع غَيرَ سَبيلِ المُؤمِنينَ نُوَلِّهِ ما تَوَلّىٰ وَنُصلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَساءَت مَصيرًا

Whoever opposes the Messenger, after the guidance has become clear to him, and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will leave him in the direction he has chosen and consign him to Hell—a dreadful destination.
